Samantha Massey is currently a second year MA English Literature student at the University of Calgary. When she's not busy watching uncanny valley youtube videos or religiously reposting puppy pictures on Tumblr, she's writing her MA thesis on the elusiveness of Posthumanism and Cyborgs in comic books. Samantha has a fascination with the monstrous body in film, literature (including comic books), and television. In fact, she wrote her undergraduate thesis on the American Zombie, the monster of our century.

Samantha also has an interest in apocalyptic and dystopian narratives, and hopes to survive the inevitable zombie outbreak. However, she's realistic about her chances of survival, lacking basic combat skills,  weapons expertise, and the will to live without running water.  She knows she would probably perish immediately in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Until then, she blogs.
